February was another solid month for Hyperwave’s vault performance.
With a new specialist joining the team and a fresh product direction underway, we’re aligning our next phase with the continued maturation of DeFi. More on that soon.
Until then, here’s everything else that happened this month.

hwHYPE Vault January Performance Report
Despite wild HYPE volatility during the month of January, hwHYPE continued to deliver steady and competitive yields!
In the six months since the vault went live, the hwHYPE exchange rate has steadily increased, equalling an approximate +3.2% absolute gain, or ~6.5% annualized.
Dimensional data also shows that during the month of February, $hwHYPE has continued to show a strong, consistent performance with a 5.8% 30-day APR, significantly ahead of its peers despite market volatility over the past month.

HWAVE Burn
The burns are getting bigger!
In total, nearly 8% of the circulating supply has been bought back, with nearly 4% burned and 4% sent to GWAVE — the liquid yield-bearing token that automatically accrues Hyperwave revenue.
Did you know that less than 0.01% of tokens are bought back and burned using real protocol revenue? $HYPE and $HWAVE are two of them.
During Season 3, 75% of protocol revenue will fund buybacks and token burns, with 25% allocated to GWAVE.
HWAVE Season Claims
HWAVE claims for Season 1 and 2 Wave Point holders will close March 11.
Don’t forget to claim your rewards before the deadline!
hwHLP Liquidation Event Claims
Claims are now open for the snapshot-based airdrop following the liquidation event on Hyperliquid earlier this month.
This airdrop can be claimed on Merkl for:
Yield earned by long-term hwHLP holders on January 31st
